About John Dyess
I am a native St. Louisan, with a BFA from Washington University School of Art. I am a painter, illustrator, photographer and teacher creating art and illustration for over fifty years.
My commercial clients include many major corporations and companies throughout the United States in- cluding the National Geographic Museum in Washington D.C., Anheuser-Busch, St. Louis Post-Dispatch and the St. Louis Baseball Cardinals. My illustration work has been published in many widely distributed magazines such as Field & Stream, Outdoor Life, Sports A Field and Bassmaster.
I have been recognized nationally by the New York Society of Illustrators and Communications Art Magazine.
My personal work has been represented in numerous local and national shows. It has been on exhibit at the Foundry Art Centre, the National Parks Service and represented in over forty shows at St. Louis Artists’ Guild.
My teaching includes time at Washington University, Webster University, Jefferson College and currently St. Louis Community College at Meramec.
