This is a painting from above of tomatoes and peppers in a bowl sitting on a wood table. I chose to view this arrangement from above to put emphasis on the shapes of the bowl,shadow and vegetables.
About John Dyess
John, a native of St. Louis, has a BFA from Washington University School of Fine Art. He is a painter, illustrator, photographer and teacher creating art and illustration. He has been self employed since 1980 and currently works with his wife, Carolyn, a graphic designer. Together they operate as Studio Dyess, LLC. His clients include many major corporations and companies throughout the United States, including Anheuser-Busch, Monsanto, General Electric, National Geographic Museum and the St. Louis Baseball Cardinals.
