In the Beginning is a painting by John Foster Dyess that represent the struggle in creating
something new,in this case the universe. planets form,collide ,are destroyed,die and other planets are born,and recreated from the broken pieces.

About John Dyess

John Dyess

John, a native of St. Louis, has a BFA from Washington University School of Fine Art. He is a painter, illustrator, photographer and teacher creating art and illustration. He has been self employed since 1980 and currently works with his wife, Carolyn, a graphic designer. Together they operate as Studio Dyess, LLC. His clients include many major corporations and companies throughout the United States, including Anheuser-Busch, Monsanto, General Electric, National Geographic Museum and the St. Louis Baseball Cardinals. He has been published in many widely distributed magazines such as Field & Stream, Outdoor Life, Sports Afield and TV Guide.
