Common Thread metal print by John Dyess.   Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Artist's Description

This "birds eye" painting was inspired by my wife's sewing tools and by my grandmother job as a seamstress. I set up the still life and lit it to create interesting shadow shapes.

John Dyess

John, a native of St. Louis, has a BFA from Washington University School of Fine Art. He is a painter, illustrator, photographer and teacher creating art and illustration. He has been self employed since 1980 and currently works with his wife, Carolyn, a graphic designer. Together they operate as Studio Dyess, LLC. His clients include many major corporations and companies throughout the United States, including Anheuser-Busch, Monsanto, General Electric, National Geographic Museum and the St. Louis Baseball Cardinals. He has been published in many widely distributed magazines such as Field & Stream, Outdoor Life, Sports Afield and TV Guide.
